Every once in a long while.. you come across a hindi movie that manages to make u say "That was AWESOME!!!"I just watched Rock On!!, a new release starring Arjun Rampal and introducing usually director-this time- actor Farhan Akhtar, supported by an ensemble of talented actors. This semi small budget flick comes up tops with stellar acting, a great story line, incredibly fresh music/songs (hats off to Shankar,Ehsan,Loy), at good pace and is very well done.
Even my Jaanu loved it a lot. I'd really recommend this movie, as it's not the run-of-mill love/revenge story you usually get. Actually, i'd put my neck on the line, by going as far as calling this one a candidate for best picture of the year (next to The Dark Knight, of course). If you decide to pick only 5 movies to watch this year, make this one of them, whether you understand hindi or not. (PS: heard that they are planning to re-release this movie in English for international market.. hhmmm)
